Hannah Antman AS Nat

Hannah Antman (Nat, they/she) is excited to be making their SGT debut. Previous Chicago credits include Vinegar Tom and Caveman Play at Red Theater, where they are a cohort member. Other credits include Chicago (Redtwist Theatre), Big Time Toppers (Theatre L’Acadie), and Hershel and The Hanukkah Goblins (Strawdog Theatre Co). Their short "The Unfinished Film" premiered at the Seattle Queer Film Festival in 2024. Hannah has a BFA in Acting from Boston University and is represented by Big Mouth Talent.

Soren Jimmie Williams as Chloe

Soren Jimmie Williams (Chloe, she/her) is thrilled to join Shattered Globe Theater for her debut performance. Ms. Williams has been involved in Oak Park theater through school and is a member of the Steppenwolf Theater Young Adult Council. She has enjoyed working on short films such as Toad Boy, The Residential, and Mrs. Hunter is Dead. She has studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is planning to study acting in college starting in the fall.

Leslie Ann Sheppard AS Miss Candice

Leslie Ann Sheppard (Miss Candice, she/her) is grateful! Kandice Robins (U/S Mia, she/her) hails from the Chicagoland area, where she was both born and raised. Her theater experience features productions such as Fairview (Definition Theatre) and Tad in 5th City (MPAACT Theatre). On screen, her credits include appearances in The Chi (Showtime), Chicago Fire (NBC), and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story (Hallmark). This marks her debut with Shattered Globe Theatre. Sydni Charity Solomon AS Dailyn

Sydni Charity Solomon (U/S Dailyn, she/her) is a Trinidadian-American actor and theatre artist born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, now based in Chicago, and a former Shattered Globe Theatre Protégé. Terah Jené AS Miss Candice

Terah Jené (U/S Miss Candice, she/her) is very excited to be working with Shattered Globe Theatre. She is a Multidisciplinary Artist and Educator based in Chicago. Some of her work has been seen at the Foundry Art Center and Hyde Park Art Center. She is a Magician’s Assistant and has had the opportunity to work with some of the top record breaking magicians in the world. When she is not on stage or in her art studio, Terah enjoys watching cat videos, like a lot! She can never get enough, keep the cat videos coming, it’s the purr-fect way to end the day.

The Team

Kirsten Greenidge (Playwright, she/her) presents African American experiences on stage by examining the nexus of race, class, and gender. Kirsten is currently a Playwright in Residence at Company One Theatre in Boston Massachusetts, where she helps run Company One’s playwriting program, PlayLab. She is the author of Baltimore, a commission from the Big Ten Consortium at the University of Iowa, which toured to the National Black Theatre Conference; Bud Not Buddy, an adaptation of the children’s novel by Christopher Paul Curtis, with music by Terence Blanchard, which will be produced this winter at Metro Stage Company in St. Louis; The Luck of the Irish (Huntington Theatre Company; LTC3); and Milk Like Sugar (La Jolla Playhouse; Women’s Theatre Project; Playwright’s Horizons), which was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award and received an Independent Reviewers of New England Award, and San Diego Critics Award, and an OBIE Award. She is a 2016 winner of the Roe Green Award for new plays from Cleveland Playhouse for Little Row Boat; Or, Conjecture, a play about Sally Hemings, James Hemings, and Thomas Jefferson, commissioned by Yale Rep. Her play As Far As a Century’s Reach toured to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, after being part of the Royal Exchange’s B!RTH Project. She is a proud author of Audacity, part of Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s EVERY 28 HOUR PLAYS, and she’s enjoyed development experiences at Family Residency at the Space at Ryder Farm, the Huntington’s Summer Play Festival, Cleveland Playhouse (as the 2016 Roe Green New Play Award recipient), The Goodman, Denver Center Theatre’s New Play Summit, Sundance, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Sundance at Ucross, and the O’Neill. Kirsten is currently working on commissions from Company One, La Jolla Playhouse, OSF’s American Revolutions Project, The Goodman, and Playwrights Horizons. She is an alum of New Dramatists, and has proudly graced the Kilroys list of New Plays by women and women identified Playwrights several years running. Her play Familiar`, a winner of the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival New Play Award, was presented by Harvard’s A.R.T. Institute this winter. She is an alum of Wesleyan University, and the Playwrights Workshop at the University of Iowa. Amber D. Montgomery+ (Director, she/her) is the Associate Artistic Director of Shattered Globe Theatre. Her Chicago directing and associate/assistant directing credits include JUMP, Rasheeda Speaking and Sheepdog (Shattered Globe Theatre), School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play (Goodman Theatre), Lindiwe (Steppenwolf Theatre), Too Heavy for Your Pocket (TimeLine Theatre), Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (Writers Theatre), Measure for Measure (American Players Theatre), First Love is the Revolution (Steep Theatre), The Snow Queen (The House Theatre of Chicago), Countess Dracula (Otherworld Theatre) and REVLOT (Story Theatre New Play Festival). Montgomery was awarded a Directing Fellowship at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and at Steppenwolf Theatre’s Department of Education/SYA. She has also trained at Shakespeare’s Globe in London and LISPA (now Arthaus Berlin). She holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program and an MA from Central Saint Martins in London.

Stephon Dorsey (Sound Design, he/him) is a multimedia artist from Detroit, MI. Stephon is a former student of the University of Michigan’s Performing Arts Technology & Voice program, and the Music Production program at Full Sail University. His work spans across many different mediums, most notably in music, and sound design. His debut music project mela.nin landed him a spot in City Arts' Best New Artist 2017 issue, and on the first Upstream Music Festival stage. In addition to his performance efforts, he has sound design credits for Intiman Theatre's Emerging Artist Program, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings (Book-It Rep), Milk Like Sugar (ArtsWest), What Will Happen to All That Beauty? (CATF).

Abboye Lawrence (Projections Designer, he/him) is a video designer, programmer, and content creator based in Chicago. Erin’s theatre credits include projection design for An Educated Guess (Definition Theatre), ¡Bernarda! (Teatro Vista/Steppenwolf Theatre), Once (Writers Theatre), Chagall in School (Grippo Stage Company), The Writer (Steep Theatre), Elevator Girl (Vanguard Arts Collective), and co-design for The Lady from the Sea (Court Theatre). Persephone Lawrence (Properties Designer) is a Chicago-based props designer and artisan. Emily Nicholas (Assistant Stage Manager, she/her) is a non-Equity stage manager based in Chicago. Jeremiah Barr (Technical Director, he/him) A jack of all trades carpenter, designer and artist Jeremiah is very excited to be working with on MNN and the Shattered Globe team. Some of his past design credits include Sherlock Holmes and the Christmas Clowns (scenic), RUR (scenic design), Glassheart (scenic design), Night of the Hunter (scenic design) with City Lit Theatre; Strange Cargo (props/puppet design), A Shadow Bright and Burning (scenic/props design) with Black Button Eyes; Book of Will (props design), A Town Called Progress (scenic/props design) with Promethean Theatre Ensemble; Betrayal (scenic/props design), The Language Archive (scenic/props design) and The Pillowman (scenic/props design) with AstonRep Theatre Company. Ellie Fey (Lead Electrician, she/her) is a 24 year old Chicago based Lighting Designer and Electrician. She graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University in 2023 with a BFA in Lighting Design. Some of her design credits include Lobby Hero (Shattered Globe Theater), Urinetown, TL;DR, Tell Me on a Sunday (Theo Ubique Cabaret Theater), Turn of the Screw (The Music School at DePaul University), Superior Donuts, By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, Witch (The Artistic Home), The Unknown Variable (Momentary Theatre), Side by Side by Sondheim, The Lifespan of a Fact (Oil Lamp Theater), Fizz and Ginger (Chicago Fringe Opera), MedeaMedeaMedea (Theatre Evolve), The Cottage (Citadel Theatre). She has been the lead electrician on many of SGT’s shows, including Ugly Lies the Bone, A Tale of Two Cities, Becky Nurse of Salem, Jump, and A View From the Bridge. Ellie has received two Jeff Award nominations for Outstanding Lighting Design on Lobby Hero and Witch. Devin Meseke (Scenic Charge, he/him) is a Scenic Painter based in Chicago, Illinois. He is excited to be back at Shattered Globe after previously painting Ugly Lies the Bone earlier this season. He has also recently painted at Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Peninsula Players Theatre, Rivendell Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, and Mercury Theatre. He holds a BFA in Scenic Design from DePaul University.

Sandy Shinner+ (Producing Artistic Director, she/her) joined Shattered Globe Theatre in October 2013 as the theatre’s first Producing Artistic Director. Her SGT directing credits include Deborah Zoe Laufer’s Be Here Now, Will Snider’s How to Use a Knife, Scott McPherson’s Marvin’s Room, and Sally Nemeth’s Mill Fire. The former Associate Artistic Director of Victory Gardens Theater, she created the nationally known IGNITION! Festival, served as co-director of the Access Project, and, with former Artistic Director Dennis Zacek and former Managing Director Marcelle McVay, accepted the 2001 Regional Theater Tony Award on behalf of Victory Gardens. She has directed over 85 plays at theaters including Victory Gardens, Remy Bumppo, American Blues, the University of Virginia, Actors Theater of Louisville’s Humana Festival, Steppenwolf’s First Look Repertory of New Work, New York’s 78th Street Theater Lab, and the Sacramento Theater Company, among others. Her production of Trying by Joanna McClelland Glass transferred to New York, and her direction was nominated for the Joe A. Callaway Award. Shinner received the 2013 Kathryn V. Lamkey Spirit Award from the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee of Actors’ Equity Association for her commitment to diversity and non-traditional casting. She has been recognized as one of “50 Top Players” by Newcity and a “Chicagoan of the Year” by the Chicago Tribune. She is an adjunct professor at DePaul’s Theatre School, and an Ambassador for the National New Play Network.

Lesley Swanson (General Manager, she/her) brings over 12 years of experience in Arts Management and Arts Education. Swanson has planned and executed productions in the non-profit sector for television, theater, and orchestra. She has also directed schools of dance, drama, and music. Swanson earned a MM in flute performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and a BM from Grand Valley State University. She owns a private studio in the City of Chicago where she teaches flute students of all ages. Active in Chicago’s new music scene, her dynamic flute playing can be heard with the Chicago Composers Orchestra. Swanson has proven herself to be a powerful advocate for women’s rights. As an arts leader, she is committed to continuing education. She recently completed Enrich Chicago’s training Building a Culture of Anti-Racism.

Julia Farrell Diefenbach (Director of Marketing and Community Engagement, she/her) is the Managing and Marketing Director for Artemisia Theatre, Chicago's feminist theatre. She previously served as the Director of Marketing and Social Media for Haven Chicago and as the Associate Artistic Director of The Halogen Company, an award-winning immersive theatre company in Los Angeles. She has collaborated with numerous Chicago theatres including: Collaboraction, Broken Nose Theatre, Midsommer Flight, Firebrand, Go To Productions, and Citadel Theatre. Certified as an Intimacy Captain by the ICC, she also freelances as a director and dramaturg, bringing her expertise to a variety of theatrical projects. Nate Santana*+^ (Artistic Producer, he/him)  joined the company as an Ensemble Member in 2018. For three years, he taught and directed the Protege Program at SGT as well as produced and oversaw the inaugural Global Playwriting Series (GPS), which received over 150 submissions in its first year. Theatre credits include Marvin’s Room (Shattered Globe); Ironbound (Raven Theatre); The Thanksgiving Play (Steppenwolf); Legend of Georgia McBride, Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley (Northlight); Frankenstein, Sense and Sensibility (Indiana Repertory Theatre); SS! Romeo and Juliet, SS! Twelfth Night (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); Balm in Gilead, Golden Boy (Griffin Theatre); The Abuelas, White Tie Ball, Momma’s Boyz (Teatro Vista); The Rainmaker (BoHo Theatre); References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot (Phoenix Theatre Indianapolis) and What Happened When, Slipping (the side project). Television credits include Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Suits and The Exorcist. Santana is also an Ensemble Member with Teatro Vista. He studied at the School at Steppenwolf, The Moscow Art Theatre, and received his BA from Valparaiso University.
